587 administrators for ever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty Eight Witness Saml Brown Jun Fred.k Rawlings (seal) Th G waters On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Be it remembered That on this sixteenth day of January Eighteen hundred and thirty eight personally appears Frederick Rawlings party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland for the County aforesaid and acknowledge the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned 2¼ Acknowledged before Th G Waters paid Recorded the 16th day of January 1838 To all whom it may concern Be it known That I Juliet Warfield of Anne Arundel County Maryland considering that Liberty is the undoubted right of all the human family do therefore hereby manumit my negro boy Alexander Eleven years of age the 24th day of april last to be free from Slavery when he shall arrive at the age of Thirty years: also my mulatto Girl Harriet ten years of age the 2nd of December next to be free at the age of twenty Eight years and I hereby declare her posterity free for ever males at the age of twenty five years and females at the age of twenty years all subject to the provisions of the laws relative to free people of colour that may exist at the respective time of their becoming free In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this |
