572 representatives of Alexander H Gambril late of anne arundel County deceased in virtue of a bill of sale duly executed according to law by me to him the said Alexander H Gambril on the ninth day of may eighteen hundred and twenty nine and recorded on the sixteenth day of may Eighteen hundred and twenty nine in Liber W S G No 14 folios 368 & 369 one of the record books of anne arundel County Court by which said bill of sale I did bargain sell transfer and assign both the said negro Girls slaves named Ellen and Harriett unto the said Alexander H Gambrill his Executors administrators and assigns each for the term of thirty five years from the tenth day of September Eighteen hundred and twenty five and from this tenth day of February eighteen hundred and twenty seven respectively which said respective terms will expire cease and determine on the aforesaid tenth day of September Eighteen hundred and sixty and the tenth day of February Eighteen hundred and sixty two and the said negro girls slaves named Ellen and Harriet I do declare to be thenceforth that is to say the said Ellen from and after the tenth day of September Eighteen hundred and sixty and the said Harriet from and after the tenth day of February Eighteen hundred and sixty two freed manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators and from all manner of claim or right of claim of servitude or service by me my Executors or administrators for ever. And I do hereby also release from slavery liberate manumit and set free the issue that may be born of the said negro Girl slave named Ellen on or before the tenth day of September Eighteen hundred and |
