568 of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman by the name of Flora or by whatsoever name or names she may be known or called being at this time in the thirty seventh year of her age (having been born on or about the twenty second of april seventeen hundred and ninety nine) and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman by the name of Flora or by whatsoever name or names she may be known or called I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators and from all manner of claim or right of claim of servitude or service by me my Executors or administrators for ever I do hereby also release from slavery liberate manumit and set free from and after the tenth day of February Eighteen hundred and fifty three one negro Girl slave named Mary or by whatsoever name or names she may be known or called being at this time in the Eighteenth year of her age having been born on the tenth day of February EIghteen hundred and Eighteen and now in the possession of Richard Sappington of anne arundel county in virtue of a bill of sale duly Executed by me according to law to him the said richard Sappington on the sixth day of april Eighteen hundred and twenty nine and recorded in liber No folio one of the land Records of anne arundel county on day of Eighteen hundred and by which said bill of sale I did bargain sell transfer and assign the said negro Girl slave named Mary unto (the) |
