567 assembly in such cases made and provided Ex.d.d.d Acknowledged before W.m B Dorsey paid 3¼ Recorded the 21.st day of April 1835 To all to whom it may concern be it known that I McLane Brown of anne arundel County in the state of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro Girl named Jane aged sixteen years on the third day of march next to be free when she shall arrive at the age of forty years that is to say to be free an at full Liverty and discharged from all manner of servitude on the third day of march one thousand eight hundred and sixty and all her issue to be free at the age of thirty five years from me my heirs executors administrators and assigns In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this third day of august one thousand eight hundred and thirty five Witness McLane Brown (seal) Thos C Miller At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Maryland Anne Arundel Cty On the third day of august 1835 personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for said County McLane Brown and acknowledged the foregoing Instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Ex.d.d.d Thomas C Miller 2¼ Recorded the 7th day of September 1835 To all persons whom it doth or may concern Be it known that I Lydia Gambrill of anne arundel County and State (of) |
