561 Executors or administrators forever. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this first day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Nelson Nichols (seal) Frederick L Grammer William McNeir At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of five dollars Current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Witness Richard Ridgely Nelson Nichols Anne Arundel County Maryland to wit On the first day of November 1834 personally appears Nelson Nichols party to the within Instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro boy within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him from and after the dates affixed in the within deed the said ^boy^ Samuel Garrett in the year Eighteen hundred and forty eight to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such case made and provided paid Acknowledged before William McNeir Ex.d d.d 3½ Recorded the 3.d day of November 1834 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Thomas E Sudler of the city of Annapolis Anne Arundel County and state of Maryland for divers good |
