535 County in the state of Maryland divers good causes me thereto moveing have and by these presents do manumate liberate set free and discharge from slavery my negro woman named Hester aged about nineteen years to be free from and after the first day of September which will be in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three and the issue of the said Hester if any be born during her her time of servitude shall be and herby ar declared free as they shall severly and respectively arrive at the age of thirty years herby declaring the said negro Hester manamitted and discharged from slavery from and after the the said first day of September in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three and her issue if any to free as aforesaid from me and from all person or persons claring under me In testimony whereof I her to set my hand and seal this the 29.th day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty two Signed sealed and delivered Eleanor Woodward (seal) In the presence of Caleb white Rignal J woodward On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit: Anne Arundel County On this the twenty ninth day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty two came Eleanor Woodward before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said county and acknowledged the within manumission or Instrument of writing to be her act and deed chd Caleb white 2½ Recorded the 31.st day of May 1832 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Ephraim warfield sen.r of Anne Arundel County in the |
