534 anne arundel county in the state of Maryland divers good causes me thereto moving have and by these presents do manumit liberate set free and discharge from slavery my negro woman Aleatha aged about nineteen years to be free from and after the first day of October which will be in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three and the issue of the said Aleatha if any be born during her time of servitude shall be and herby ar declared free as they shall severly and respectively arrive at the age of thirty years herby declaring the said negro Aleatha manumitted and discharged from slavery from and after the said first day of October in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three and her issue if any to be free as aforesaid from me and from all person or person's claring under me In Testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and seal this the 29.th day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty two Sign'd seal'd and delivered Eleanor Woodward (seal) In the presence of Caleb white Rignal D Woodward On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Anne Arundel County to wit: On this 29.th day of May 1832 came Eleanor woodward before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace and acknowledges the within to be his her act and deed chd Caleb white 2½ Recorded the 31.st day of May 1832 To all to whom these presents shall come Know ye that I Eleanor Woodward of anne arundel |
