528 maintenance and him the said Philip Buckingham I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my Executors or administrators forever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty fifth day of april one thousand eight hundred and thirty two Witness J S Williams his Isaiah Mercer George X Scott (seal) mark Maryland Anne Arundel County Sct On this twenty fifth day of April 1832 before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for said County personally appears George Scott of said county and acknowledges the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed agreeably to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case made and provided paid acknowledged before J S Williams 2¾ Recorded the 30.th day of april 1832 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Isaac Dorsey of anne arundel County in the state of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of the sum of one dollar current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro girl named Susan being of the age of seventeen years on the 3.rd of October next and I do declare her to be manumitted and set free from all manner of servitude or service when she shall arrive to the full age of twenty one years which full time will End on the 3.d day of October 1836 and the said Susan I do |
