522 the sum of five dollars Current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned witness Henry Price (seal) N Brewer of Jno State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc Be it remembered that on the fourteenth day of March 1832 personally appears Henry Price party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the mulatto man within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided Ex.d d.d Th G waters paid 3½ Recorded the 14.th day of March 1832 State of Maryland Ann Arundle County to wit: To all whom it may concern be it known that I William Ireland of Ann Arundle County and state of Maryland as aforesaid for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of Five Dollars current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named Bill or William Sims being of the age of twenty nine years to be free from and after the first day of January Anno Domini one thousand Eight hundred and forty two and able to work & gain a sufficient livelihood and maintainance and him the said negro |
