521 Samuel Norman party to the within Instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland for said County and acknowledge the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided Ex.d d.d acknowledged before Th G waters chd 4 Recorded the 9.th day of March 1832 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Henry Price of Anne Arundel County in the state of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of five dollars Current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my mulatto man named William Wilkes being of the age of forty years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintainance and him the said mulatto man named William Wilkes I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever.
