52 Lord one thousand Eight hundred & seventeen Signed & sealed in presence of us Rezin H Snowden Joseph R Hopkins (seal) Richard P Snowden At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: anne arundel County ss.t Acknowledged before me one of the Justices of the peace for the above County by the above named Joseph R Hopkins as his act and deed this first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & seventeen Ch.d Gerard H Snowden 2¼ Recorded the 4th day of October 1817 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I margaret Callahan of anne arundel County in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of Ten dollars Current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my man named Henry Bishop being of the age of Twenty one years and three months and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the said Henry Bishop I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my heirs Executors or administrators for ever.
