514 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Achsah Goddsborough of the city of Annapolis in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of the sum of Ten dollars current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro child named Mary Ann daughter of my mulatto woman Ann born on the fifteenth day of January Eighteen hundred and thirty two from and after the first day of January Eighteen hundred and forty six and her the said negro child named Mary Ann I do declare to be free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever from and after the said first day of January Eighteen hundred and forty six In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two Signed sealed and delivered Achsah Goldsborough (seal) in the presence of Matilda C Goldsborough Angelina G Robinson At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of ten dollars current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Achsah Goldsborough (seal) Anne Arundel County to wit: on this day the twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two personally appears Achsah |
