496 and discharged from all manner of servitude or services to me my Executors or administrators forever after the day that my wife Mary Ridgely departs this life In testimony whareof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 7.th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousen Eight hundred and thirty one his Signed sealed and delivered Nicholas + Ridgely (seal) in presence of mark Samuel Nichols Beal Ridgely her Mary + Ridgely (seal) mark At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Receved on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of one dollar currant money it being the full consideration money within mentioned his Nicholas + Ridgely mark State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On this seventh day of October one thousand Eight hundred and thirty one personly appears Nicholas Ridgely and Mary Ridgely his wife partys to the above Instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland for the county aforesaid and acknowledged the same to be their acts and deeds for the purposes within mentioned and the negro man within mentioned to be free on the day of the death of the said Mary Ridgely henceforth manumitted and discharged from all service to him or to any claming under him and to free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided chd acknowledged before Samuel Nichols 3½ Recorded the 26.th day of October 1831 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Samuel |
