and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such
case made and provided

             To all whom it may concern be it known that
I Sally Ridgely of Anne Arundel county in the state
aforesaid for divers good causes & considerations me
thereunto moving as also in further consideration of
five dollars money of the united States to be me in
hand paid have released from slavery liberated
manumitted & set free and by these presents do hereby
release from slavery liberate manumit & set free my
negro woman Charlotte williams being of the age of
thirty three years and able to work & gain a sufficient
livelihood & maintenance and her the said negro
woman named Charlotte Williams I do declare to be
henceforth free manumitted & discharged from all
manner of servitude to me my Executors or administrators
for ever  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand & seal this 29.th day of June in the year of our
Lord one thousand Eight hundred & thirty one
