years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood
and maintenance and him the said negro man named
David Brown I do declare to be henceforth free
manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude
or service to me my Executors or administrators forever
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal this 16.th day of July in the year of our
Lord

    At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit
       Received on the day of the date within mentioned the
sum of ten dollars current money it being the full
consideration money within mentioned
witness   Gideon White                     Sarah E Murray
              Anne Arundel County sc.  Be it remembered that
on this sixteenth day of July personally appears Sarah
E Murray party to the within instrument of writing before
me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the state of
Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the
same to be her act and deed for the purposes within
mentioned and the negro man within named to be
henceforth manumitted and discharged from all service
to her or to any claiming under him and to be free and
manumitted according to the act of assembly in such
cases made and provided
paid                     Acknowledged before   Gideon White

3   Recorded the 18th day of July 1831


To all whom these presents shall come Greeting
Be it known that I Nancy Raines of ann arundel
County and state of Maryland for divers good causes
