481 To whom it may concern be it known that I Sarah E Murray of the City of Annapolis and State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar current money to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Any and her two children one named Susan about sixteen years of age and the other named Anthony about fourteen years of age all of healthy constitutions sound in body and mind and capable by labour to procure to themselves sufficient food and raiment with other requisite necessaries of life. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty witnesses Gideon Pearce Sarah E Murray (seal) D Murray At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit City of Annapolis Ann Arundel County State of Maryland S S acknowledged before me one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid by the within named Sarah E Murray as her act and deed this thirtieth day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty paid Gideon Pearce Ex.d d.d 2¼ Recorded the 2.d day of June 1831 Be it known that for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar current money of Maryland to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto Edward |
