467 released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do liberate manumit my negro woman named Maria being of the age of twenty six years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro Maria I do declare to be free on the first day of July in the year Eighteen hundred and forty manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators forever I do also declare her issue if she shall have any after the day of the date hereof to be free the males to be free at the age of twenty one the females at age of eighteen years old.
