466 according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided acknowledged before Henry C Dunbar paid 3¼ Recorded the 26.th day of July 1830 Know all men by these presents that I Alexander C Magruder of the City of Annapolis do hereby manumit and grant freedom to my slave negro Charlotte formerly the property of Doctor Philip Thomas of Frederick the said negro woman not being above the age mentioned in the act of assembly and being capable by labour to procure to her sufficient food & raiment In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this 30.th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of Alex C Magruder (seal) R T Magruder J H T Magruder At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit On this 30.th day of July 1830 Alexander C Magruder appeared before me one of the Justices of the peace for anne arundel County and acknowledged this Instrument of writing to be his act and deed chd Gideon White Ex.d d.d 1½ Recorded the 30.th day of July 1830 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Zachariah Roberts of anne arundel county and state of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar Current money to me in hand paid have have released |
