459 Anne Arundel County to wit: On this Sixth day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred thirty personally appears Robert Warfield party to the within Instrument of writing before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the mulatto man within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided chd Acknowledged before Edward Warfield 3 Recorded the 19.th day of April 1830 Know all men by these presents that I Nicholas Brewer of the City of annapolis and State of Maryland for sundry good causes and considerations have and by these presents do liberate manumit and set free a certain negro Slave Child named Sarah Ann Smith Willigman the Child of a certain negro woman named Kitty and I hereby declare the said negro Child free from the date of these presents. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this Seventeenth day of April Eighteen hundred and thirty Signed sealed & delivered in the presence Nich.s Brewer (seal) of George Mackubin Gideon White At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit: On the Seventeenth day of April Eighteen hundred and thirty personally appeared Nicholas Brewer before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for anne arundel County and acknowledged the within and aforegoing Instrument |
