458 and thirty nine according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided paid Acknowledged before Th G Waters Exd d.d 3¾ Recorded the 6.th day of April 1830 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Robert warfield of anne arundel County in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar Current money to me in hand paid have released from Slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my mulatto man named William being of the age of twenty three years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintainance and him the said mulatto man named William J do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators forever. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Sixth day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty Signed sealed and delivered In the presence of Robert Warfield (seal) Edward Warfield Greenbury D Welsh At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit: Received on the day of the date above mentioned the Sum of one dollar Current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Robert Warfield (seal) Anne |
