436 named who is reported to me to be now in Philadelphia John Guyer by Sam Maynard his atty in fact Anne Arundel County sc Be it remembered That on this thirtieth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine before me the subscriber one of the State of Marylands Justices of the peace in and for anne arundel county personally appears Samuel Maynard named in the foregoing power of attorney and by virtue and in pursuance of the authority thereby given doth acknowledge the within deed or Instrument of writing to be the act and deed of John Guyer the party therein named according to the true intent and meaning thereof and of the act of assembly in such case made and provided Acknowledged before Jos Mayo To all whom it may concern be it known that I Lewis Neth of the City of Annapolis and State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving and also in further consideration of five dollars current money to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free the following slaves and servants deeded to me by John Guyer of the Island of Saint Bartholomew and delivered to me by Samuel Maynard Esquire of the City of annapolis his attorney thereunto duly authorised to wit negro woman Nancy a slave and her daughter Sall Ennis a mulatto woman together with all and several of her issue as follows Henry Mary Elizabeth (William) |
