405 discharged from all services to him or to any Claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such Cases made and provided Ex.d d.d Acknowledged Before Richard G Hutton Chd 4 Recorded the 15th day of August 1828 This Indenture Witnesseth that I William P Hardesty of anne arundel County and State of maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whareof I do hereby acknowledge have released from slavery manumated and set free and by these Presents do release from slavery manumitted and set free my negro woman named Suck sixteen years of age of a helthy Constitution sound in mind and body and Capable of labour to procure to herself food and rament and also my woman nell aged fourteen equel in point of helth Constitution and mind Capable of labour to precure to herself sufficient food and rament with other requisite necerrys of life Provided the said suck and nell shall Continue to serve me as heretofore untill they are thirty years of age then the said suck and nell shall be free from all servitude and if during the Continuance of their servitude of said suck and nell they should have any issue of their body begotten then I do hereby determine Grant and Agree that if male I do hereby manumate and set free at twenty one years of age if females I do hereby manumate and set (free) |
