from him hereby declaring him to be free and
manumitted to all intents and purposes whatsoever
As Witness my hand and seal this 15th day of July
1828

    On the Back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit
State of maryland anne arundel County to wit  I
hereby Certify that on this 15th day of July 1828 the
within named Eleanor maccubbin personally Came before
me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in
and for the County aforesaid and acknowledged
the within instrument of writing to be her act and
deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned
taken before and Certified by      Gideon White
paid

To all whom it may Concern be it known that
I Philip Darnall of Bennett of anne arundel County
in the State of maryland for divers good Causes
and Considerations me thereunto moving as also in
further Consideration of the sum of one dollar
Current money to me in hand paid I have released
from slavery liberated manumitted and set free
and by these Presents do hereby release from slavery
liberate manumit and set free my Two negroes
after serving a term of years to wit Negro Robert
aged ten years to be free on the first day of January
in the year of our lord one thousand Eight
hundred and forty Two to wit my negro Girl
