395 Sally to me the subscriber surviving Executor of the last will and Testament of the aforesaid Charles Pettibone now therefore in virtue of the aforesaid premises I Horatio Ridout surviving Executor of Charles Pettibone late of anne arundel County in the State of maryland deceased Do hereby manumit set free and discharge from slavery the aforesaid Susan the wife of said Perry wright and her daughter Sarah or Sally In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal on this 18th day of March Anno Domini 1828 Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Horatio Ridout (seal) B W Marriott surviving Exer of C Pettibone Nichs Dorsey of Lloyd On the Back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland anne arundel County On this 18th day of march 1828 Came Horatio Ridout surviving Executor of the last will and Testament of Charles Pettibone late of said County and State deceased before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be her act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned according to the acts of assembly in such Case made and provided Taken before and Certified by paid Nichs Dorsey of Lloyd 3½ Recorded the 18th day of March 1828 To all whom it may Concern be it known that I Zedekiah moore of anna arundel County in the State of Maryland for Divers good Causes and Considerations of one Dollar Current money To me in hand paid have released (from) |
