personally appears Sarah E Murray party to the
within instrument of writing before me the Subscriber
a Justice of the peace for the State of Maryland for the
said County and acknowledges the same to be her
act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and
the negro man Isaac within named to be henceforth
discharged and manumitted from all service to her
or to any person Claiming under her and to be free
and manumitted according to the act of assembly
in such Case made and provided

    To all whom it may Concern be it known that I
Thomas Steuart of anne arundel County in the State of
Maryland for divers good causes and Considerations me
thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated
manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby
release from slavery liberate manumit and set free as
hereinafter provided viz my negro slave John aged twenty
one years on the tenth day of January in the year Eighteen
hundred and twenty Eight my negro slave Stephen
aged nineteen years on the twenty third day of april
Eighteen hundred and twenty seven and my negro slave
Harriett aged sixteen years on the first day of January
Eighteen hundred and twenty Eight and them the
said negroes John Stephen and Harriett I do declare from
and after they shall each respectively arrive to the age of
five years and the said Harriett born during her servitude
as they each respectively arrive to the age of Twenty One
years to be thenceforth free manumitted and discharged
from all manner of servitude or service to me my
