368 Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby declare free manumission and enfranchise the following negroes to wit negroe Allen to be at full liberty when eh shall arive at the age of twenty one years negroe Owen negroe Beale Louis negroe Otha and negroe Henry Asbury to be at full liberty when they shall severally arrive at the age of twenty one years hereby acknowledging the above named negroes at the above named time to be discharged from all claim of service and right of property whatsoever from me my heirs executors administrators or assigns As witness my hand and seal this first day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven Witness McLane Brown his Tho.s Burgess Francis + Oliver (seal) On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On the first day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven appears before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for county aforesaid Francis Oliver party to the within Instrument of writing who acknowledg.d the said Instrument to be his act and deed and the signature and seal thereunto arrent to be respectively his Chd McLane Brown 2¼ Recorded the 6th day of March 1827
