362 To all whom it may concern be it known that I John Fisher of anne arundel county in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro girl named Cassandra at the age of twenty five years she being five years old the eighth day of last December of a healthy constitution sound in mind and body and to present appearances will be capable by labour to procure to herself sufficient food and raiment with other requisite necessaries of life. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 20th day of January 1827 Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of John Fisher (seal) Deborah Warfield Deborah D Norris At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Anne Arundel County to wit On the 20th day of January 1827 personally appears John Fisher before the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for said County acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the purport true intent and meaning thereof and the acts of assembly in such Cases made & provided (paid) Nich.s D Warfield of Bela 2½ Recorded the 22d day of January 1827 To all whom it may concern be it known that (I) |
