my seal this thirtieth day of November in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six
Signed Sealed and delivered
    in the presence of                Rich.d Cromwell  (seal)

At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit
Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum
of five dollars current money it being the full consideration
money within mentioned                  Rich.d Cromwell
Witness   R I. Cowman

Anne Arundel County to wit   Be it remembered that
on this thirtieth day of November in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and twenty six personally
appears Richard Cromwell  party to the within instrument
of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of
the state of Maryland for the said county and acknowledges
the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within
mentioned and the negro man within named to be
henceforth manumitted and discharged from all
services to him or to any claiming under him and to be
free and manumitted according to the act of assembly
in such cases made and provided

    To all whom it may concern be it known that I
Kitty Matthews otherwise called Kate Matthews of anne
arundel county and state of Maryland for divers good
causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also
in further consideration of ten dollars current money to
me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated
manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby
release from slavery liberate manumit and set free a
