State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit  On this
Eighteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and twenty six personally appeared Robert
Welch of Ben before the subscribers two of the State of
Maryland Justices of the peace in and for said County and
acknowledged the within and aforegoing Instrument of
writing to be his act and Deed according to the true intent
and meaning and the acts of assembly in such cases
made and provided

To all whom it may concern be it known that I Timothy
Johnson of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for
divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as
also in further consideration of two dollars current money to me
in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted
and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery
liberate manumit and set free the following negroes to wit
negroe Lloyd negro Louisa negroe Jinny negroe Cornelius
and negroe Adeline to be free as hereinafter mentioned that
is to say negroe Lloyd at the age of twenty one years negroe
Corneleas at the age of twenty one years negro Jiny Louisa
& Adaline at the age of eighteen hundred years and all the
said negroes above named I do declare to be free at the
several ages as above mentioned manumitted and
discharged from all manner or servitude or service them
& their isue to me my executors or administrators forever
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed my seal this fifteenth day of April in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six
