341 twelve last named slaves and their children and issue respectively unto the said Robert Welch of Ben his being executors administrators and assigns forever. In Trust nevertheless to and for the intents and purposes aforesaid but for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever as he the said Robert Welch of Ben his heirs or assigns or his or their counsel learned in the Law shall reasonably devise advise or require. In witness whereof the said Nicholas Darnall and Henry Darnall have hereunto set their respective hands and seals the twelfth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six 1826 Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of us Nicholas Darnall (seal) Benj.a Tucker Henry Darnall (seal) P Thomson At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit City of Philadelphia ss.t To all to whom these presents shall come I Joseph Watson Esquire Mayor of the said City of Philadelphia in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania do hereby certify that on the day of the date hereof before me personally came and appeared the above named Nicholas Darnall and Henry Darnall and severally in due form of Law acknowledged the above and foregoing Bill of Sale or Deed of trust to be their and each of their act and deed and desired the same may be recorded as such according to Law In Testimony whereof I the said Mayor ( seal of ) have hereunto set my hand and caused the (the City of) seal of the office of Mayorally of the said City (Philadelphia) to be hereunto affixed at Philadelphia the twelfth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six Joseph Watson Mayor |
