Jem Polly blind aged about eighty Polly or Mary
aged about forty eight years afflicted with Kings evil and
Jarvis during all the terms of their respective natural lives
&c.a and that in consideration thereof and of such support
and maintenance as aforesaid it was agreed that the said
Claudius F Legrand should have the benefit of the labour
and services of the following named negroe slaves now
also being upon the said land and premises to wit Sam
Jerry Suck Hess Jam Bill Bob ^ned^ Sam Wallace Bill
another of that name John and Charles for the term of
four years and no longer and that at the end of the
said term of four years the said twelve last named
negroe slaves shall be free and that they and each and
every of them and their issue respectively shall be
liberated and set free from slavery forever and in and by
the said recited Instrument of writing Title Bond and
Contract of bargain and sale amongst divers other matters
and things therein contained reference being thereunto
had will more fully and at large appear.   Now
know ye and it is hereby Witnessed that the said
Nicholas Darnall and Henry Darnall as well in
consideration of the premises and for carrying into full
and compleat effect the contract and agreement he
made with the said Claudius F Legrand as aforesaid
in relation to the said twelve last before named negro
slaves as also for and in consideration of the sum of
one dollar a piece to them in hand paid by Robert
Welch of Ben of the county of               in the State of
Maryland ^Esqr^ at or before the ensealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and more especially in consideration of the Trust and
Confidence which they have and repose in the said
Robert Welch of Ben and of the trust and purposes
