328 liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents doth hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Elizer who was bequeathed by last will and testament of Robert Warfield senior late of said county to me until she arrived at the age of twenty five years and then to be free and who is at this time of the age of twenty two years I likewise release from slavery liberate manumit and set free her infant child named George who is under one year old the said woman being able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman named Elizer and her infant son named George I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty first day of November in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty five Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Edward Warfield Robert Warfield (seal) John D Warfield At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Received on the day of the date above mentioned the sum of one dollar current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Robert Warfield (seal) Anne Arundel County sct On this twenty first day of November 1825 personally appears Robert Warfield party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and (the) |
