323 agree that the state or conditions of the said issue shall be that of freedom and I do hereby manumit and set free the said issue In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 31st day of December 1825 her Witness Thomas G Waters Priscilla + Richardson (seal) Jos Mayo At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Anne Arundel County sct Acknowledged before me one of the Justices of the peace for said County by the the with named Priscilla Richardson as her act and deed this 31st day of December 1825 Ex.d d.d Jos Mayo 2½ Recorded the 31st day of December 1825 To all whom it may concern be it known that we William Glover and Mary Glover of the City of Annapolis in Anne Arundel County and state of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of the sum of forty dollars current money to us in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free our negro man named Daniel Troy being of the age of fifty years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the said negro man named Daniel Troy we do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to us our executors or administrators forever In Testimony whereof we hereunto set our hands and affix our seal this seventh day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six Signed Sealed and delivered W.m Glover (seal) in the presence of Mary Ann Glover (seal) R I Cowman Adam Miller (At) |
