30 money of the United States to me in hand paid have from and after my death released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and do by these presents from and after my death hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro slaves to wit: Bridgett Hall aged forty five years, John Hall aged five years, nancy Hall aged twenty five years and her increase, William Hall aged three years and Richard Hall aged one year and being able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and them the said negro slaves above named and described. I do from and after my death declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators they and their increase forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and sixteen Signed Sealed and delivered his in presence of Thomas | | Hall (seal) Thomas Sellman mark Richard G Hutton At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Received on the day of the date above mentioned the sum of twenty dollars Current money it being the full consideration money above mentioned his Thomas Sellman Thomas | | Hall mark Anne Arundel County to wit: On the twenty seventh day of November one thousand Eight hundred and sixteen appears before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County Thomas (Hall) |
