274 years of age and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and him the said negro man Isaac Stewart I do declare to be free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors admistrators or assigns forever after the above mentioned thirteenth day of October of this present year In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of March one thousand eight hundred and Twenty four signed sealed and delivered in presence of Seth Sweetser (seal) Gideon White John T Richardson At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Rec.d on the day and date above mentioned five dollars being the full Consideration money within mentioned Witness Gideon White Seth Sweetser Anne Arundel County sst On this 3d day of March 1824 appeared Seth Sweetser before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and Deed and the said negro Isaac to be free at the time mentioned according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such Case made and provided Chd acknowledged before Gideon White 3 Recorded the 3d day of March 1824 To all whom it may Concern be it known that I Mary Elson of anne arundle County in the state of Maryland for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do (hereby) |
