210 act of assembly in such cases made and provided Acknowledged before paid Henry Cord 2¼ Recorded the 20th day of august 1821 To all whom it may Concern Be it known That I Benjamin Sunderland of anne arundale County in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further Consideration of one Dollar Current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and ^set^ free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man Isaac Henson being of the age of forty four years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the said negro man named Isaac Henson I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty fourth day march in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty one Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Witness John H D Lane Benj.a Sunderland (seal) Rezin Estep on the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of One Dollar Current money it being the full consideration (money) |
