197 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I Henry Basford of anne arundel County and State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further Consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro Girl Cassy Robinson aged three years on the 14 December 1819 to be free on the fourteenth day of December one thousand Eight hundred and forty six at which time she will be thirty years of age and the issue of the said Cassy Robinson to be free the males at twenty five years of age and the females at the age of twenty five years, and the issue of said issue to be free at the last mentioned ages for ever and I do hereby declare the said Cassy Robinson and her issue to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors administrators or assigns for ever on the above mentioned terms In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 24 day of april 1821 Gideon White Henry Basford (seal) Gideon White Junr On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Received the day and date above mentioned one Dollar being the full consideration money within mentioned Gideon White Henry Basford (seal) Gideon White Junior Ann Arundel County ss.s On the 24th day of (april) |
