186 within mentioned and the negro man within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such case made and provided paid Acknowledged before Tho.s W Turner 3 Recorded the 15th day of march 1821 This Indenture made this fourteenth day of march Eighteen hundred & twenty and Witnesseth That I mary Shipley of ann arundel County State of maryland in consideration of the sum of one Cent to me in hand paid before the ensealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge have manumitted & set free and do by these presents manumit & set free and release from slavery my negro Girl Mille now aged seventeen to serve untill she arrives to the age of twenty one years she being of a healthy Constitution and Capable by labour to procure for herself the necessaries of life and I also manumit and set free as above my negro boy Daniel he being now five years old to serve untill he is thirty years old as well as sarah ann now five days old to serve untill she is thirty years old & should the said Sarah ann have Children during the time of her servitude they are also to be free at thirty.
