179 Law and the same shall have the effect to render the said deed valid as if the said deed have been recorded according to the act of assembly in such case made and provided True Copy from the Original Law passed by both branches of the Legislature at December Session 1820 Jno N Watkins Clk Senate John Brewer Clk H Del Accompanying the aforegoing Law was the following to wit: On the records of Queen anns County among other things is contained the following to wit: Queen anns County to wit: Be it remembered That on the twenty Eighth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and nineteen the following deed of manumission was brought to be recorded to wit: I John Gibson of ann arundel County and State of maryland do hereby manumit and set free the following negro woman purchased of the late Robert Tuite at the time & period herein after mentioned viz.t Harriot seventeen years of age the fifteenth day of January last past. Her freedom to commence on the fifteenth day of January in the year Eighteen hundred and forty six In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this twenty Eighth day of June Eighteen hundred and nineteen Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of Peter Foster J.o Gibson (seal) Emory Satterfield State of maryland Queen anns County sr Be it remembered That on the 28th June Eighteen hundred and nineteen personally appeared (John) |
