180 John Gibson before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aff.d and acknowledged the above & foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof & the acts of assembly in such case made & provided Acknowledged before Peter Foster Queen anns County to wit: I hereby Certify that the foregoing is truly taken and Copied from the original now remaining of record in my Office ( seal ) In Testimony whereof I have hereunto ( of ) subscribed my name and affixed ^the seal^ of my (Queen) office this twenty ninth day of april in ( anns ) the year Eighteen hundred and twenty ( Coty ) Tho: Murphey Clk of p.d Queen Anns County Court Ex.d 4½ Recorded the 9.th day of February 1821 State of maryland anne arundel County sct To all whom it may Concern be it known that for divers good causes me thereunto moving I Thomas Joice of the County aforesaid do hereby manumit and declare free agreeably to the terms herein after specified to wit my negro man named Solomon aged about thirty nine years to be free on the fifteenth day of February Eighteen hundred and thirty one hereby declaring and acknowledging the said negro man named Solomon as aforesaid free and for ever discharged from all claim of service right or property whatsoever from me or any claiming under me my heirs Executors administrators or assigns from and after the expiration of the fifteenth day of February Eighteen hundred and thirty one.
