168 appears William Brewer party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negroes within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided Chd Acknowledged before R Welch of Ben 4½ Recorded the 26.th day of June 1820 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I Eleanor Clark of anne arundel County in the State of maryland for divers good causes me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated and manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman Deborah Clark being of the age of Twenty four years her the said negro woman Deborah Clark I do declare to be free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service her and all her increase to be free to their latest Generations for ever from the day and date hereof.
