Witness my hand and seal this 23.d day of June one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Signed and Sealed in presence of Walter Cross Andrew Slicer (seal) Henry Duvall At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Receiv'd the above mentioned two dollars being the full consideration money above mentioned Andrew Slicer Henry Duvall Anne Arundell County sc On the 23rd day of June one thousand Eight hundred and twenty apears Andrew Slicer party to the above instrument of writing before me a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and State of maryland and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and negro man therein named to be manumited and to be discharged according to the above instrument from him and all persons claiming under him according to the acts of assembly in such cases made and provided Ex.d d.d Henry Duvall Chd 3 Recorded the 23d day of June 1820 State of maryland City of annapolis To all whom it may concern Be it known that I William Brewer of the City of annapolis aforesaid for divers good causes and Considerations me thereunto moving as also in further Consideration of one dollar Current money to me in hand paid have released from Slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby (release) |
