Witness my hand and seal this seventh day of June in the year Eighteen hundred and twenty Test Henry C Drury of Cha.s Aaron Welch (seal) Joseph C Drury On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Anne Arundle County to wit: On this seventh day of June Eighteen hundred and twenty appeared Aaron Welch before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledge the within deed of manumation to be his act and deed to and for the purposes within mentioned and the Act of assembly in such cases made and provided Ex.d d.d Acknowledged before Chd Richard G Hutton 4 Recorded the 19th day of June 1820 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I Andrew Slicer of ann arundel County and State of maryland for divers good considerations me therein moving as also in further Consideration of two dollars to me in hand paid do hereby from and after the Expiration of Eleven years from and after the date of this instrument of writing release from Slavery liberate manumit and set free from slavery my negroe man named Samuel Gambriel being of the age of twenty one years and him the said negroe man named Samuel Gambriel I do declare to be then free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors administrators or (assigns) |
