153 first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty mary to be free on the first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty two and if either of the above manumitted negroes should have a child or Children before their term of servitude shall expire such Child or Children shall be free at the age of thirty years and the said negroes Hannah Thomas Hariot and mary I do declare to be free at the times herein before mentioned from all maner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators for ever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this sixth day of april in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Signed Sealed and delivered in presents of his Charles Hobbs William X Hosgood (seal) Lemuel Hobbs mark On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Received on the day of the date above mentioned the sum of one Dollar Current money it being the full consideration money above mentioned his William X Hosgood (seal) mark A A County to wit: On this sixth day of april in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for County aforesaid appears William Hosgood and acknowledged the aforegoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before Ex.d Lott Linthicum paid 3¾ Recorded the 19th day of april 1820 |
