154. Maryland sc To all whom these presents shall come Greeting I Jacob Williams of anne arundel County and state of maryland for divers good Causes & considerations me thereunto moveing do hereby declare free manumit & enfranchise the following negroes to wit negro man named Jason aged about twenty two years and negro man named Levi aged about twenty years both to be free on the third day of January Eighteen hundred & thirty five negro Girl Charity aged about seven years to be free on the third day of January Eighteen hundred and fourty three and her increase the males at the age of twenty Eight & the females at the age of twenty five, also negro Girl named Meriah aged about two months to be free on the third day of January Eighteen hundred and fourty five and her increase as they may severally arrive the males to twenty Eight years old and the females at the age of twenty five years hereby declaring the said negroes & their increase as aforesaid discharged from all claim of service and right of property whatsoever from me my heirs Executors and administrators on the dates above mentioned As Witness my hand & seal this twenty second day of april Eighteen hundred and twenty Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of William OHara J Williams (seal) Abner Linthicum On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Be it known That on the twenty second day of april Eighteen hundred and (twenty) |
