123 At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Maryland ann arundel County to wit: on this sixth day of august Eighteen hundred and nineteen personally appears Ann Jenifer before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the foregoing deed or instrument of writing to be her act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such cases made and provided Ex.d d.d Acknowledged before R Welch of Ben paid 3 Recorded the 6th day of august 1819 This Indenture Witnesseth that I William P Hardisty of ann arundell County and State of maryland for divers good causes and Considerations one being thereunto moved do release manumate and set free my negro boy named Bill Hall aged nine years and six months and my negro Girl Sook Hall aged six years and six months each of said negroes being sound limb and appear likly to be able to get a sufficient maintenance the said Bill Hall after he has served till he is twenty Eight years of age and said Girl Sook Hall after serving till she is twenty five years of age shall be free from all slavery and if said Girl Sook should have any isue of her body begotten I do hereby Certify grant and agree if mail serve untill twenty one years of age and then be free from all slavery if femail shall serve untill the age of sixteen years and then be free from all slavery whareof I do hereby acknowledge this to be my act and deed this seventh day of august and in the year of our Lord |
