121 written to wit: Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of one dollar Current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Hester Crandell Witness N J Watkins Robert Carr Anne Arundel County sc. Be it remembered That on this fifteenth day of July Eighteen hundred and nineteen personally appears Hester Crandell party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledges the aforegoing instrument of writing to be her act and deed Ex.d James Hunter paid 3½ Recorded the 15th day of July 1819 To all whom these presents shall come Greeting Be it known that I Joseph Stansbury of anne arundell County and State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving hand and by these presents do manumit set free and liberate from slivery a negro woman caalled Hannah about thirty one years old & one negro boy called William about five month old. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of march 1819 Joseph Stansbury (seal) Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of: Abner Linthicum George Craggs At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Anne Arundel County to wit: Be it remembered That on the 12th day of march 1819 (personally) |
