120. in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro slaves Jack Dick and Charity as follows to wit the said negro Jack being now of the age of twenty five years to be free on the first day of august Eighteen hundred and thirty four the said negro boy Dick now of the age of Eighteen years to be free on the first day of august Eighteen hundred and thirty nine and the said negro Girl Charity now about the age of fifteen years to be free on the first day of august Eighteen hundred and thirty four the said negroes being able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and the said negroes before named I do declare to be free manumitted and discharged from and after the periods before mentioned from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators for ever.
