I do hereby set free and manumit all the children
that may be born of the above mentioned female
Rachel before the period of her becoming free
the said Children shall be free the males when
they arrive to the age of twenty one years and the
females at the age of sixteen years and for the
full performance of the several articles and
stipulations before mentioned and contained I
bind myself my heirs Executors and administrators
firmly by these presents sealed with my seal and
signed and dated Eighth day of June one
thousand Eight hundred and nineteen
Signed & acknowledged in
    the presence of                  Hannah Owings  (seal)

    on the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written
to wit:   anne arundel County to wit:   Be it
remembered That on the Eighth day of June in the
year Eighteen hundred and nineteen personally
appeared before ^me^ the subscriber one of the Justices
of the peace for said County Hannah Owings party
to the foregoing instrument of writing and acknowledges
the same to be her act and deed according to the
intent and meaning thereof
