In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20.th day of January Eighteen hundred and seventeen Witness John Cord his Absm Odell Thomas X Francis (seal) mark At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Anne Arundel County to wit: On the 20th day of January 1819 appeared Thomas Francis before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Ch.d Acknowledged before John Cord Ex.d 2½ Recorded the 1.st day of may 1819 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I Ann Jenifer of anne arundel County and State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of the sum of five dollars Current money to me in hand paid do and have released from slavery ^liberated^ manumitted and set free and by these presents do release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man Charles also my negro man Daniel also my negro woman Dinah the said negroes Charles Daniel and Dinah I do declare from the date of these presents to be free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators forever.
